In order for the efforts of the Tamaqua Blue Raider Foundation to continue, we need your help. There are many educational initiatives in the works for the Tamaqua district, and every penny donated to us is directly applied to our student’s education via these programs. Donations can be earmarked as a general donation, an EITC contribution (see below), or a contribution to a named fund.

Donations can either be made by check or by use of PayPal (see below). All contributors are acknowledged with a thank you letter and a listing on the Foundation’s Website.

The Tamaqua Blue Raider Foundation has recently received approval from the Department of Community and Economic Development to participate in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). By making a contribution to our foundation, corporations are permitted through this program to receive tax credits that offset the capital stock tax payable to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. A corporate business will be approved for a tax credit of 75% of its contributions to The Blue Raider Foundation up to a maximum of $300,000 per taxable year. The tax credit may be increased to 90% of the contribution if the business agrees to provide the same amount for two consecutive tax years. Annual applications for this program are due to the State of Pennsylvania in June of every calendar year. Typically, the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) announces the awards a few weeks later with the actual donation to the Tamaqua Blue Raider Foundation being accepted between August and October. Contributions to this program must be submitted with appropriate documentation and within certain timeframe – checks cannot be written directly to the foundation for EITC credits without first contracting a board member.
